SPOT grant stop 2020

Important announcement

Unfortunately we are again forced to put a stop to the applications for SPOT grants before the end of the year.

As of 23 October until the end of the year 2020 we will no longer be able to accept applications for SPOT grants. Within our annual budget we added an extra amount to the SPOT grant budget, but its ceiling has now been reached.

Despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, many applications for documentation and presentations at home and abroad have been submitted this year. This has been a great boost for the (inter)national visibility of artists from The Hague.
Like in previous years, more artists applied at the beginning of the year (probably the result of subsidy stops in previous years), resulting in a premature 'exhaustion' of the available grant budget.
We are looking at a different system for next year so that the budget will be distributed and allocated more evenly over the year.

New applications for SPOT grants can be submitted as op 1 January 2021 (for the SPOT tentoonstellingssubsidie / exhibition grant this means that the starting date of the exhibition should be 1 February 2021 at the earliest).
