The Foodprint Symposium is organized by Het Portaal together with Stroom Den Haag.

The symposium will be opened by Winnie Sorgdrager (chairman of the board of Stroom Den Haag) and Rabin Baldewsingh (alderman 'Citizenship, Deconcentration, Quality of Living and Media' in The Hague).
The symposium will be closed by Gerda Verburg (minister of Agriculture, Nature and the Quality Food).

The Symposium offers a varied program focusing on the important role food can play in the design of a sustainable, healthy and green city, looking at this topic from various angles and disciplines. The program includes parallel sessions of lectures, presentations (a.o. of the art projects and design assignments) and an exchange of inspirational ideas from both the Netherlands and abroad. The symposium is developed in collaboration with communication consultancy Het Portaal.
