We cordially invite you to the festive closing of the Pollination Chamber on Sunday 21 July at 17 hrs. The Pollination Chamber in the garden of the GEM / Fotomuseum has been visited by more than 2,500 people since the opening on June 1 this year!

More than 800 people participated in the crowdfunding project Honing Bank and have opened a bee savings account. And eight companies and organizations adopted an entire bee colony. With a musical performance by Smutfish, the success of this art project will be celebrated. Artists Olivier Darné and Emmanuelle Roule will also be present and will let you taste delicious snacks with honey from the Pollination Chamber.

Smutfish
The Pollination Chamber will be festively closed with music from the band Smutfish. This music can best be described as a mix of Americana, country and blues noir. The band dates back to 2003 and has performed at Noorderslag in Groningen, Popkomm in Berlin and Border Crossing in The Hague. Hague pop culture journalists voted the album Lawnmower Mind best CD of 2004. The band played in 2007 as a support act and backing band for Daniel Johnston in Europe. A new album is in the works and will appear later in 2013 under label Excelsior.
Smutfish is: Melle de Boer: vocals and guitar; Janneke Nijhuijs: bass; Dick Zuilhof: guitar; Sean de Vries: drums.

The Queen Bank (the nursery where queenbees are grown) can be visited up to September 1, 2013 (Sunday 13-17 hrs) in the backyard of Stroom Den Haag in the Maziestraat.
