Since 2025, Narges Mohammadi’s artwork 'A Minute of Shelter' has stood on Coolsingel in Rotterdam, serving as a memorial to the victims and survivors of femicide. The work was commissioned by the City of Rotterdam in response to the tragic 2018 murder of Hümeyra, a 16-year-old high school student from Rotterdam. SIR (Sculpture International Rotterdam) and BKOR organized the evening event 'Z-Files #33: A Minute of Shelter', featuring thinkers and writers discussing the role of art in highlighting the vulnerable position of women. The similar titled publication now brings together a number of their presentations, supplemented by a foreword by Sandra Smets and an interview with Narges Mohammadi.
