Financial support

Stroom Den Haag offers financial support to the arts community in The Hague through three different funding schemes: the SPOT Funding Scheme, the PRO Funding Scheme, and the OBJECT Funding Scheme. The funding schemes are intended to increase the visibility of art and artists from The Hague and to strengthen the art climate in The Hague. The focus here is on stimulating development, research and experimentation. The underlying criterion in the assessment of applications is always the improvement and strengthening of The Hague's art climate, in other words, the ‘interests of The Hague’.

The SPOT Funding Scheme consists of three funding schemes: SPOT Documentation, SPOT Individual Exhibition, and SPOT Group Exhibition. These funding schemes contribute to the costs of solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as the costs of documentation and promotional materials.

The PRO Funding Scheme consists of four funding schemes: PRO Art Projects, PRO Art Programme, PRO Research, and PRO Invest. These funding schemes contribute to the costs of an art project, publication, art programme, research project, artist-in-residence and the development of starting artists in The Hague for a work period.

The OBJECT Funding Scheme consists of two funding schemes: OBJECT Temporary and OBJECT Permanent. These funding schemes contribute to the (start-up) costs for the position, construction and purchase of a studio, studio building and (guest) studio home. This can be for a temporary (available for more than 6 months) or permanent (available for at least 10 years) period.
