Folder with PR materials and articles related to Jill Magid (1973) ,an American conceptual artist, writer, and filmmaker. Magid’s performance-based practice "interrogates structures of power on an intimate level, exploring the emotional, philosophical, and legal tensions that exist between institutions and individual agency.” . April 2008 the AIVD (Algemene Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdienst) (International Security Agency) took up residence in its newly renovated building in Zoetermeer. The organization used this opportunity to present itself to the outside world in an innovative way. Magid was given access into this closed stronghold to research 'the human face' of the secret service. It brought her into contact with its individual 'employees', each of whom plays an intrinsic part in the makeup of this face. The result, an exceptional series of works of an outstanding organization, was presented in the exhibition Article 12 at Stroom (April 20 thru June 15, 2008).
