Art au Centre was a project to revitalize the city center of Liège through art. It consisted of investing in the windows of empty shops to install artworks by artists from Liège, Belgium and abroad, in order to inject some dynamism into the neighborhoods by offering visitors a free artistic journey through the city. Since October 2019, Art au Centre held eleven exhibitions, three per year, and presented the works of 275 artists in 253 windows. Through this biannual catalog, the project disseminated more widely the work of the guest artists and the work of the curatorial team, but also to make this Liège concept known in other medium-sized European cities, in order to initiate new Art au Centre projects as it is already the case in Brest and Geneva, and develop this new network. The catalogue is a compilations of photographic and textual archives, divided into six parts corresponding to the different exhibitions classified chronologically.
