The 22nd of June 2002 was a memorable day for the arts. Some 21 artists and artist collectives set out on the streets of The Hague to bring their work to the people. The artists who participated in Parking Den Haag use and need the audience and the city to bring their work to life by means of performances, confrontations, interventions, theatrical performances, ‘actions', etc. The artists were on the move in the city and the audience was invited to participate.

Parking Den Haag was an initiative of Stroom Den Haag and Artoteek Den Haag, with the assistance of a board of advisors made up of: Rob Knijn, Adriaan Nette, Pietertje van Splunter and Robert Jan Verhagen.
