Placemaking cultural and creative spaces
Lisa May Visser has been appointed as placemaker for the collaborative and creative spaces at Stroom Den Haag. As a true resident of The Hague with a deep passion for the creative sector, she has been bringing together makers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers for years. In her work as a creative producer in film and television, she shaped content and initiated partnerships, collaborations, and creative processes. At the same time, she is actively involved in local initiatives such as Qissa and the Schilderswijk Cooperative, where she connects urban development, community, and creativity.
In her role as placemaker, Lisa will focus in the coming period on strengthening the network of creative spaces in The Hague and translating policy into workable, widely supported plans in close collaboration and coordination with the municipality of The Hague. The guiding principle here is the connection of artists, property owners, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, with a sustainable structure centered on space, trust, and collaboration.
Lisa: "Creative spaces flourish when you connect the people, plans, and space together. I am really looking forward to helping make that connection and laying strong foundations for the future."
