Publication accompanying the exhibition 'DRIFT. Duin tot Doggersbank / Dune to Doggersbank', featuring the work of 22 contemporary artists at Panorama Mesdag and in the window display of Stroom Den Haag (March 21 through September 13, 2026) in cooperation with the Ambassade van de Noordze The starting point was the question: “How do we relate to nature today in a time of ecological crisis?” With this theme, the exhibition referenced the founders of Panorama Mesdag, Hendrik Willem and Sientje Mesdag-van Houten, who, as “nature activists avant la lettre,” sought to protect the Seinpostduin through the panorama. The publication includes contributions from the participating artists and from scientists on the role we can play in the restoration of the dunes, the North Sea, and the underwater landscape of the Dogger Bank.
