Bachelor thesis about the similar named graduation project at KABK The Hague, 2024. “PAMS Project is about seeking lightness in heavy structures. These heavy structures are The Hague’s 587 registered Public Artworks, Monuments & Statues, or as I like to call them, PAMS. In a moment of excessive difficulty where I undergo the process of learning that I will one day be disabled, I navigate The Hague through lengthy walks and bike rides on a mission to find myself within the PAMS of The Hague. PAMS Project is a research project that investigates self, space and sculpture. [-] Through intensive research I not only locate these works, but I also learn about their stories - the artists who made them and the reason for their placement within the public sphere. “ Artists / works discussed are: Shinkichi Tajiri, The Warrior, Gerard Bakker, The Fisherman’s Wife, Edith Imkamp, Entr’acte, Rob Krier, Double Figure (Light and Dark), Berry Holslag, The Conversation, Marnix Rueb, Haagse Harry, Jikke van Loon, Maduro Memorial, Theo van der Nahmer, Sitting Woman, Femmy Otten, And Life is Over There, Tony van de Vorst, Vriendinnen.
