Concise booklet for the project of the artist group Observatorium in Venlo (NE) in the period October - November 2018). An impluvium, used in many homes in Roman times, was a place where rainwater was collected for domestic use. At the invitation of the Van Bommel Van Dam museum, the municipality and the water board, Observatorium investigated the question of how we can deal with rainwater in cities more intelligently, taking climate change into account. They developed a temporary impluvium, a water basin surrounded by benches that collected rainwater from a large roof that provided shelter. The impluvium also functioned as a covered meeting place around the basin.
