The period magazine Ecoes is a portmanteau of the words ‘ecology’ and ‘echoes’. With its focus on ‘art in the age of pollution’ it is a recent addition to the Press’ long history of multimedia experiments. Ecoes centres loosely around alternatives to the anthropocentric view of Earth and the nonhuman as endless resources. It expands Sonic Acts’ focus on compelling artistic and critical perspectives, reflecting on the rapidly changing world around us. Malleable in form and size, the magazine hopes to be a site for experimentation, research and emerging knowledge-making processes. This issue is dedicated to artists’ experiments and artistic meandering around the topic of water.
