Cologne's festive 'Art Year 1974'was marked by the residents with an especially large offering of museum initiatives, including PROJECT '74. In the exhibition Project '74, the avantgarde and the Walraf-Richartz-Museum, which in 1974 can look back on 150 years of its collections, embrace each other. The catalogue documentation arose during the preparations for the exhibition in collaboration with the artists. In many cases it represents a contribution by the artists parallel to that placed in the exhibition.
