Folder with PR materials and articles related to Sven ‘t Jolle (Antwerpen, 1966). Stroom had invited the Belgian artist to create an exhibition for her project space on the Toussaintkade (March 11- April 8 2007). Sven 't Jolle has a strong social commitment at the basis of his work. The question about the possibilities of art that stands up for, for example, struggling workers in an art world where the wealthy have the largest share, often forms the theme for his exhibitions. For his installation on the Toussaintkade, 't Jolle was inspired, among other things, by the former function of the building (it was once a bread factory) and the work of Gerd Arntz.
