With A Life in Common, the curators aimed to show how art and culture can acquire a more manifest place in all kinds of urban issues, such as housing, use of public space and migration. They identified new cultural initiatives and practices - by individuals, collectives or organisations - that jump into the gap left by mainstream organisations. With this overview, they asked whether we are witnessing a redefinition of what art and culture can do for society.
