Folder with PR materials and articles about Cyprien Gaillard, mainly about 'Beton Belvedere', his exhibition at Stroom 22 February thru 5 April 2009 and his project 'Dunepark' in Duindorp, The Hague.The French artist Cyprien Gaillard is intrigued by contemporary ruins and concerned by the rapid destruction of modernist architecture. The artist explores notions of state vandalism, gentrification and the picturesque. The exhibition, curated by Zoë Gray, was accompanied by 'Dunepark', an ambitious project in public space. It meant he excavation together with inhabitants of the area, of a World War II bunker buried in a hill overlooking the beach of Scheveningen. It was to be seen by the public for a short while before it got buried again.
