Pavilionesque is an art magazine dedicated to various aspects of modern art and theatre. It also constitutes a form of an active archive, which searches for and retrieves unpublished archived materials connected to theatre, performance and puppeteering: documentation, photographs and texts. Pavilionesque III focuses on the extraordinary nature of grotesque and its transformations, in a broad sense. The publication includes texts about artists, interviews, discursive texts and Marta Kudelska’s novel, inspired by Alex Urban’s work. The above is complemented with the artworks of Pavilionesque’s Friends and of students of the Fine Art Academy in Prague.
