Well Connected is a series of events and publications which focuses on the specificity of the curatorial that is recently gaining increasing importance on the interface of the cultural and social fields. The project takes into account that connecting things, material, information, people and spaces, that creating interdisciplinary and intercultural networks, that taking response by selecting and mediating information refers not only to the conception and organisation of exhibitions but gains likewise importance in the socio-economic field. Under the conditions of Globalisation and Postfordism the above-mentioned processes and actions become dominant skills in our current society. This collaborative initiative between the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) Vilnius and the KW – Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin sets a platform to discuss social implications of the curatorial in diverse formats.
