What effects the working lives of artists? In this issue the debate brings together three visual arts experts involved in the formulation and implementation of public policy affecting the working lives of artists in three different European countries: Stella Rollig from Austria, Marjorie Allthorpe-Guyton from England and Tijmen van Grootheest from the Netherlands. Each of them has provided a short introductory paper based upon their seminar presentation and this is followed by an edited version of the discussion that took place between them and with the audience.
