The seventh museum was a project by Stroom in 1994. It was an imaginary museum, temporary in nature, without its own building or collection, which presented itself at different places and times in the Hofvijver museums and the area around the Hofvijver, with works by contemporary artists in different guises. The starting point was to investigate the concept of publicness in relation to: the museum collection, the museum as an institution and the public area around the museums.
