The Stroom 'nu monument' ('now monument') program was based on the question of the (im)possibility of a contemporary monument. As an institution that is concerned, among other things, with art and public space, Stroom continuously subjects the relationship between developments in current art, society and the status of public space to a critical eye. 'nu monument' consisted of various talks, research and exhibitions like 'Since we last spoke about monuments' by artists, philosophers, curators etc.
