The Hague Center for Contemporary Art (HCAK) was one of the first artists' initiatives in the Netherlands and was founded in 1978 by the Hague visual artists Martin Sjardijn and Willem van Drecht. The initiative arose from the need for a place to show experimental work in an art climate that was actually not open to it. The folder contains numerous publications related to the various exhibitions and projects
