A book on the exhibition SOME TIME by Richard Deacon at the Middelheim museum in Antwerp, Belgium (27.05-24.09.2017), focussing on the very motive for this exhibition: the re-fabrication of the site-specific art work Never Mind (1993) for the Middelheim museum. Gwynne Ryan (chief conservator Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington)explores key issues on the re-fabrication of contemporary art. The artist, Richard Deacon talks about replication as a new (or a very old) method for production and the changed concept of authenticity, ranging from Japanese temples to the Sci-fi novel The Body Snatchers.
