FW: is an independent organization that initiates projects, publications, exhibitions, lectures, meetings and encounters between photographers, writers and curators. This publications documents a series of exhibitions experimenting with ways of display that Fw: organized in 2009. The first two took place in De Balie and the last in Foam (both in Amsterdam). The first exhibition, ‘Faraway So Close’ subsequently showed the work of Jaap Scheeren and Babette Kleijn. The second ‘Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear’, first showed the work of Paulien Oltheten and then Raymond Taudin Chabot. Finally, Foam opened Dieuwertje Komen and Elian Somers’ duo exhibition ‘Concrete Dreams’. Their work was put on display in the so-called ‘3H room’ or experimental room on the third floor of the museum.
