This book has been published on the occasion of Manifesta 2 - European Biennial of Contemporary Art, held in Luxembourg, 28 June - 11 October 1998. Curated by Robert Fleck, Maria Lind, Barbara Vanderlinden. The idea of Manifesta was created when the Iron Curtain of the Cold War was dismantled and its symbol, the Berlin Wall, had come down in 1989.
