State of Affairs 2003 - Part 1

State of Affairs is the annual presentation of visual artists active in The Hague. In 2003, three consecutive exhibitions were curated, each with a clearly discernible thematic or visual cohesion.
Color patches from camouflage trousers, vineyard black, tent fabric, felt, beeswax, epoxy resin, silicone sealant, water, light, and shadow were among the materials and elements explored and applied in this exhibition by the following artists:

Tom de Groot – paintings; André Kruijsen – spatial work; Marius Lut – paintings;
John de Rijke – graphic work; Vittorio Roerade – paintings; Catharina van Velden – textiles;
Bram Vreven – installation; Mark de Weijer – paintings.
