SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Space and Stroom Den Haag are jointly organizing the fifth edition of LOKO (National Consultation on Commissioned Art) on Friday, December 3, in The Hague. Each year, a national knowledge day is held where commissioners, contractors, and mediators meet to exchange ideas and knowledge on current topics. Various themes form the starting point for lectures, debates, and presentations.
This year, topics related to the urban context will be discussed, such as 'city collection' (maintenance and management of public art), art in relation to transformation areas and neighborhood culture, and current issues surrounding monuments.
These themes will be addressed in a four-track program, with excursions organized to some 'hidden treasures' (morning, by bus) and monuments in The Hague (afternoon, by bike).

LOKO10 is organized this year by SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Space in collaboration with the art and architecture center Stroom Den Haag, which links the symposium to its 20th anniversary. While Stroom celebrates its 20th anniversary, for LOKO, 2010 marks its first anniversary!
LOKO10 is made possible thanks to the municipality of The Hague and Museum Catering BV.
