Albert Wulffers
I am just a little boy, looking for a little girlDate: 25 February - 1 April 2000
A handwritten scenario, a cat slipping out of the frame to reveal the camera’s view of a naked girl calmly walking off-screen to the sound of a ringing phone. Scenes with girls in a swimming pool, tableaux vivants featuring three saints, a documentary of a director searching for his first great love, dancing in a park filled with monuments of communist symbolism, girls smiling, girls smoking...
Albert Wulffers (1948) has not yet made the film Toutes les filles / I’m at the Film!. However, the scenario was already presented as an exhibition in the form of film clips, drawings, photographs, texts, curiosities, and performances. The project included contributions from special guests such as R.G.A. Gerlach, Sabine Hiemann, Miek Hoekzema, Rachel de Joode, Yasmijn Karhof, Katelijne Schrama, Femke Snelting, Yuk-Lin Tang, and Miek Zwamborn — all female visual artists.
