Shana de Villiers over Pull(ing) back the Scale:
In May and June 2026, I will undertake a two-month-long residency built around my solo exhibition at TUR in Riga, Latvia. During this period, I will develop a new, site-specific installation exploring the figure of the monster through the image of the snake, drawing on Latvian and South African mythologies. The project expands my performative, visual, and literary practice and supports my international artistic development while feeding back into my practice and networks in The Hague.
