The Façade is a publication about the traces of the colonial history of Dutch-Brazil, created by researcher Carolina Monteiro and artist Rafael Roncato. The publication brings together carefully selected archival materials, paintings, contemporary photography, essays and viewpoints on Dutch-Brazil. The Façade is the result of the second part of the project 'Behind the Façade'. This two-part project initiated by art space Nest and artist Babak Fakhamzadeh, explored the colonial history of Dutch Brazil and its traces in both Brazil and the Netherlands.
