In The Destruction of Palestine Is the Destruction of the Earth, ecologist, author, journalist and political activist Andreas Malm (Sweden, 1977) unearths the shared roots of colonial adventurism in Palestine and fossil fuelled warfare. Malm has been a driving force behind the formation of the Swedish branch of the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement (ISM). His commitment to the situation in the Middle East is evident in this and several other publications on the Arab-Israeli conflict and Palestine and Iran. Since 2006, he has also been an active debater on the climate issue. He actively participated in the movement Klimax, which conducted actions of civil disobedience to create awareness about global warming, and wrote the book How to Blow Up a Pipeline (2021) in which he advocates sabotage as one of the tactics to bring about change.
