Publication accompanying the similar named exhibition of Olaf Mooij (b. 1958), with animations by Jan Kamensky, at the Museum Hedendaagse Kunst De Domijnen in Sittard (Nov. 13, 2022 - April 2, 2023). The Rotterdam-based artist has become known primarily for his car sculptures in public spaces. In his humorous sculptures and installations, he highlights our close relationship with the car. With Autopia the museum wanted to make people more aware of their deep love for the car, and the sacrifices they make for it, such as climate change, human lives and air pollution.
