Publication accompanying the similar named exhibition at Nest, The Hague (NL), Sep.10 - Dec.19, 2021. The artists in this exhibition answer the question of the title with a resounding “YES!”. They show that the flower as a symbol can seduce, comfort, heal, adorn and distract, and find common ground in feminist affinities, queer desires and ecological solidarity. ‘Is it possible to be a revolutionary and like flowers’ formed an exhibition diptych with ‘The Botanical Revolution : On the Necessity of Art and Gardening that was on view simultaneously (fSep. 11 2021 to Jan. 9, 2022) in the Centraal Museum, Utrecht (NL).
