The documenta magazines project was a notable feature of documenta 12. Leading up to the exhibition, three volumes of the magazine were produced, which brought together contributions from over 90 independent publications from all over the world. Contributions were authored on the key topics (or ‘leitmotifs’) of concern in the documenta 12 project, and were meant to inform the development of the thinking surrounding the documenta 12 exhibition.
