John Körmeling

Boulevard Scheveningen

For the seaside location on Scheveningen boulevard the artist John Körmeling (Eindhoven) has designed a pavilion which looks somewhat like a pre-war petrol station. The little building is equipped with a marquee with room for a bicycle repair shop. An efficiently furnished office space offers a view in all directions. The roof's edge is decorated with typical ‘bicycle words' like pedal, fresh air and spoke in little flickering lights.

Future roadworks in 2010-2012:
Because of construction work at Boulevard Scheveningen the guardhouse by John Körmeling will put in storage from February 2010 thru March 2012 (subject to change).
