Part of the 'In Progress' phase during which the exhibition Display Show gradually transforms into Another Reality. After Lina Bo Bardi.

Manuel Raeder is one of the artists contributing to the exhibition Another Reality. After Lina Bo Bardi. Together with Mariana Castillo Deball he has developed a series of playful sitting objects based on the work of Lina Bo Bardi. He's also responsible for the graphic art work for the exhibition. Manuel will talk about Lina Bo Bardi's love for the body in space - activating architecture - and about her spirit in relation to  Hélio Oiticica, Tropicalia and Rogério Duarte.

The lecture will be preceded by the performance String Too Short To Be Saved by Martin la Roche >> read more.

Manuel Raeder (Studio Manuel Raeder, based in Berlin and Mexico City) is a graphic designer whose work explores the boundaries between exhibitions, ephemera, books, type design, editing, publishing and furniture design, approaching them as carriers of information or experimental devices to document or conceive narratives. The studio has developed long standing collaborations with artists such as BLESS, Mariana Castillo Deball, Haegue Yang, Nora Schultz, Leonor Antunes and Danh Vo. In 2013 Studio Manuel Raeder developed the exhibition display for, and also documented and translated many unknown works and documents by, the Brazilian Tropicalist Rogério Duarte for the exhibition Rogério Duarte, Marginalia 1 (Portikus, Frankfurt and Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro). Studio Manuel Raeder also runs the publishing house BOM DIA BOA TARDE BOA NOITE.
