Zefir7is the Monthly Designers Café at Stroom Den Haag i.c.w. BNO Kring Groot Den Haag.

Special guests this evening: Conny Groenewegen / Rudy Guedj about the line between graphic design and harsh fashion reality.

The top floor of now dismantling Temporary Fashion Museum in Het Nieuwe Instituut Rotterdam had been turned into a Fashion Machine, a grand installation, part of the exhibition Fashion Data, which showed the fight against the destructive reality of fashion industry.
Fashion designer Conny Groenewegen designed it and put it in motion in cooperation with graphic designer Rudy Guedj.  Through posters he demonstrated in clear lines what was going on in these spaces filled with volunteers and miles of fleece threads. In clear lines the designers found each other, for Conny Groenewegen graduated with drawings.

The heart of the machine, a knitting table, will be in Stroom Den Haag on Thursday May 12th. In a performance the designers will talk about their own work and how their lines of thought got interwoven in Fashion Machine.
