Time/Bank: Sarah Spanton

Sarah Spanton is an artist who practice is cross-disciplinary, embracing performance, video, photography, dance, sculpture and text. As a live arts consultant, she set up the regional network of Live Art/New Work practitioners, New Work Yorkshire in 2003 and took on the director role of NWY in 2007 to deliver a programme of strategic regional live art development as a research project for ACE, Yorkshire - this included platforms, discussion events and professional development activity. Spanton has been a driver of the strategic development of the Live Art/New Work sector in the Yorkshire region, since undertaking the consultancy report on Live Art In Yorkshire in 2004 for ACE, Yorkshire.
 
In addition, Spanton is a consultant on creativity in the curriculum, creative teaching and learning, arts-based education community development, health and wellbeing and family learning. As an experienced project manager, project developer, trainer and external evaluator, she supports organisations, education establishments and community projects to understand the value of the arts and creativity. She has implemented a wide range of high quality strategies and projects which make an impact through creative means.
