DAG HAP: Composted Constructions by Fritz Haeg

During DAG HAP, with the help of students of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and the architects of Refunc, the American artist and architect Fritz Haeg will build small objects from recycle material, from nesting boxes for birds, hotels for bees and enclosures for animals to flower boxes.

Fritz Haeg is well-known for his ongoing Edible Estates project, an initiative to create a series of regional prototype gardens that replace domestic front lawns and other unused spaces in front of homes with places for families to grow their own food. In 2010 he talked about this project during a lecture at Stroom Den Haag (to learn more click here).
