Stroom School is the umbrella term for the side program accompanying exhibitions. Themes are highlighted and more profoundly explored. The Stroom School of Agnieszka Kurant consists of a number of guided tours, workshops and an evening on her work. For more information scroll down.

Tales to Tell: Writing workshops by Writerskitchen
Workshop of 2 ½ hours by Kathy Mathys of Writerskitchen. Mathys is an experienced writer and will focus in this workshop on plotting and plot endings, the politics of editing and making choices. To read a number of short stories written by participants: click here.

German author, music journalist and cultural critic Diedrich Diederichsen will talk with Agnieszka Kurant about the text he wrote for the exhibition exformation. The other contributors to this evening are Pieter Fleury (director and producer of documentary films, television films and commercials; since 2012 head of documentaries at Netherlands Film Fund) and the artist James Richards.

At the Levers of Reality: The Orders of Fiction
On the work of Agnieszka Kurant

On the occasion of Agnieszka Kurant's show at Stroom Den Haag, Diedrich Diederichsen has written a text on her work. This text, presented as a small booklet designed by Atelier Carvalho Bernau, will be for sale at Stroom Den Haag for € 5,-.

GUIDED TOURS ON SUNDAY
On a number of Sundays during the run of the exhibition there will be guided tours where people from various disciplines will present their personal view of the exhibition and its underlying themes.

In her work artist Machteld Rullens combines fact and fiction to show ordinary situations in a different way.

Guided tour by Vivian Sky Rehberg

Vivian Sky Rehberg is art historian and critic (a.o. for frieze magazine) and Course Director of the Master of Fine Art at the Piet Zwart Instituut.

Sunday 23 February 2014, 3 pm
Guided tour by Ton Geerts
Free. Reservations not required
Ton Geerts is curator modern and contemporary art RKD, Netherlands Institute for Art History.

LUNCH TOURS ON FRIDAY
