Part of The Sculpture Gallery

For Lon Pennock (1945) sculpture art is about the shapes and forms made by people. Without the intent to create a work of art. The basalt blocks of a pier, for example, or a bridge construction or the monumental form of an aircraft. For The Sculpture Gallery he placed two L-shapes on top of each other, slightly twisted and shifted relative to each other. This sculpture looks like a smaller version of his monumental works. After some hesitation he agreed to place the work on a pedestal. Normally Pennock creates sculptures that can make you "stumble".
