Language and signs: these are the building blocks for the sculptures of Marc Ruygrok (1953). He uses them to create enigmatic, short poems. For EN/OF (AND/OR) he positioned to words back to back, a forward slash in the form of a plate right in the middle. This gives the sculpture a sturdy and compact shape and creates a moment of silence in the chaotic hustle and bustle of shop logos. At the same time it refers to the countless choices we the people have to make in everyday life.
