Ouborgprijs 1993
Lotti van der Gaag
Lotti van der
Gaag (The Hague, 1923) taught herself to draw, paint and sculpt.
In Paris she took lessons with the sculptor Zadkine and went on to
develop her own expressive style. In her later years she dedicated
herself more and more to painting.
On the occasion of the Ouborg Award the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag
presented an exhibition of 10 paintings from the last twenty years,
plus a few sculptures.
Stroom made the publication 'Lotti', featuring all the exhibited works
with texts by the art historian Willemijn Stokvis (University of
Leiden) and Edvard Craanen,
director Institut NĂ©erlandais.
