Zefir7 is the Monthly Designers Café in collaboration with BNO. This time with Carmen and Carmen (designers, artists, and filmmakers). An evening all about video making in the present times. We present to you two talented designers, artists, and filmmakers - Carmen and Carmen.

Carmen Roca Igual is a lens-based artist creating colourful characters from her imaginations and observations embracing change as an inner dialogue. Her work often reflects the gossip around and frames it using humour. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague in 2020. Originally from Spain, she currently resides between the Hague and Barcelona.

Carmen Dusmet Carrasco is a designer exploring the question of how our bodies mediate coexistence. Her works engage with topics of self-representation, identity and labour, through the cinematic, video, animation, graphic design, sound and text. Her lexicon ranges from home-video to personal archives in low and high resolution. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague in 2018 and Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam in 2020.

Thomas Castro, member of Zefir7's program council, will moderate the evening and open up a conversation with the speakers on how they navigate their practice in the current age of precarity and uncertainty.
