Screening of the documentary The Congo Tribunal  at the Movies that Matter Festival followed by a Q&A with Lara Staal.

Swiss theatre director Milo Rau stages a fictitious court to search for truth and justice in the deadly conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Involving actual protagonists, it becomes clear that the country is trapped in a complex web of exploitation, corruption and violence that is very hard to escape.

Lara Staal is a programmer and curator. Between 2013 and 2016 she worked as a programmer at theater Frascati in Amsterdam where she developed a series of socio-political programs, exploring the relationship between art and other domains.
