This public evening of talks combines an introduction of the 9 visiting international curators who are participating in the Stroom Invest Week with a discussion around the theme of the current exhibition at Stroom Den Haag. My Practice, My Politics presents artists who relate to the world through their practice. There is a clear link between their world-views and their artistic work. What is the role of intermediaries (curators, art institutions)? How can an intermediary help the artist to achieve his or her goal? Which role can an intermediary play?
Discussion moderated by Saskia van Stein (als co-curator of the exhibition).

STROOM INVEST WEEK 2018
From 18 thru 22 June 2018 Stroom organizes the twelfth edition of the Stroom Invest Week. The PRO Invest
grant supports young artists who recently graduated from the art
academy. The grant enables artists to develop their work, among
other things through their active involvement in The Hague's art world.
The annual Stroom Invest Week
offers of a program of studio visits, a public evening of talks, visits
to places for contemporary art in The Hague and a number of informal
meetings. The goal of the Invest program is to stimulate their artistisc
practice by reflecting on the work and giving the artists the
opportunity to build a national and international network.
Leading up to the Invest Week 2018 art platform Jegens & Tevens, in collaboration with Stroom Den Haag, published a series of indepth interviews with the praticipating curators.
