Studios in Transvaal and Rivierenbuurt
Transvaal and Rivierenbuurt are socalled redevelopment areas in The Hague. This means that old houses are being demolished/renovated to make way for new housing projects. Prior to demolition Stroom Den Haag (in collaboration with Staedion and Haagwonen) rents out these temporary houses to artists and/or KABK students.Currently there are 8 houses in use in Transvaal (through Staedion) and 10 in the Rivierenbuurt (through Haagwonen).

If you want to be put on the waitinglist for temporary housing in Transvaal or Rivierenbuurt, send an email to Krista te Brake with the following information:
- Name
- Telephone number
- Students must include a copy of their KABK pass + which year you are in
If you are a 4th grade KABK student you can also apply for a permanent or temporary studio. See: Procedure Inschrijving, Wachtlijst & Ateliertoewijzing (this information is only available in Dutch).
Of course you are also welcome to stop by at Stroom Den Haag on Thursdays. We advise you to call in advance for an appointment (t. 070-3658985: ask for Krista te Brake).
Important note!
The houses in Transvaal and the Rivierenbuurt become available at very short notice. This means that one should move in in the same weekend the house becomes available.
