"I am generally interested in artists who are not bound to a specific medium or discipline, but who move freely between them to explore various ideas, with a concern in political and social issues.
I tend to look at artists with a strong conceptual approach who are able to facilitate dialogues and collaborations with practitioners from other fields (theory/science, design, architecture, live arts, publishing...). If I may express a preference in terms of fields of research; in the latest years, I have been looking at the importance of tracing unexpected genealogies and re-activate specific minor histories to better operate within present circumstances and anticipate future developments. At the same time I have been researching and working with the notion of ‘collectivity' in its historical connotations and its present-future potential (and dangers) that re-emerged with the Internet as a mean to facilitate collaboration, circulation and anonymity. In these terms, I look with interest at practices that are preoccupied with ‘collectivities' of different kinds, such as communities of interest, temporary communities, audience groups. Communities that are able to establish a process of mutual learning and forms of cooperation. But I think the best way to understand my approach is to check what I developed in the very specific context of ar/ge kunst in South Tyrol."
