Oproep inschrijving atelierbezoek Andrea Löbel op 23 en 24 april 2015
Op donderdag 23 en vrijdag 24 april 2015 zal Andrea Löbel, directeur van Kunsthalle Exnergasse in Wenen, een aantal atelierbezoeken afleggen bij kunstenaars in Den Haag. Andrea Löbel heeft de volgende interessegebieden: performance art, material research, conceptual art. Wij vragen u daarbij om uw interesse voor het bezoek KORT te motiveren in het ENGELS. De binnengekomen reacties worden samen met suggesties vanuit Stroom aan Andrea Löbel voorgelegd. Uit de lijst zal zij een keuze maken op basis waarvan het bezoekprogramma zal worden samengesteld.
Beknopte biografie Andrea Löbel
Andrea Loebel lives and works in Vienna. Since 2000 she has been working at the Kunsthalle Exnergasse (KEX), located in the WUK Werkstätten- und Kulturhaus in Vienna, which defines itself as an open platform and exhibition space for the presentation and realization of innovative, experimental contemporary art projects in varied formats and forms. The Kunsthalle Exnergasse is not commercially oriented. Since 2002 she is member on the advisory board that selects the yearly programme, with its 4-5 group exhibitions, following a yearly open call. Since 2004 she has been director of the Kunsthalle Exnergasse. She studied cultural management in Salzburg. Together with Klaus Schafler who is also part of the Exnergasse team, she formed the curatorial collective of the Kunsthalle Exnergasse for experimental presentations in the exhibition- free timeframes and intermediate spaces of the Kunsthalle Exnergasse and the KEX residency program which has been started in 2012. One of the curated recurring exhibition formats is tisch im raum (table in the space) a laboratory, a space for dialogue and a dinner table landscape started in 2006, which take place in KEX, public spaces and in other institutions. Recently she has co-curated exhibitions and projects like table in the space in the context of the Curators' Network program in Tihany, HU (2014) an intervention + talk + dining table in public space with Johanna Tinzl and Stefan Flunger and Zine Spaces, Madrid, ES (2013) together with Jürgen Tabor.
Over het atelierbezoekprogramma
Stroom nodigt sinds 2006 regelmatig curatoren, kunstenaars en critici uit binnen- en buitenland uit om atelierbezoeken af te leggen bij Haagse kunstenaars. Het atelierbezoek biedt de kunstenaar de gelegenheid om zich met zijn/ haar werk te presenteren. Het vormt een gelegenheid tot opbouwende kritische reflectie op het werk in een gedachtenwisseling met een gekwalificeerde expert. En in het verlengde hiervan wordt natuurlijk de bekendheid met het werk gestimuleerd.
